Spectrum is the student-led organization at Indiana State University that exists to unify gender and sexual minorities and their allies. Through programming and community outreach, Spectrum works to strengthen the community and create an environment that fosters acceptance for anyone, regardless of sexuality or gender identity.
Spectrum encompasses a broad range of individuals from different backgrounds who are committed to equality. We come from the ISU campus community, area colleges, and the Terre Haute community. If you are interested in joining Spectrum, join us during the academic year Tuesdays at 6:00pm on the 3rd floor of HMSU, or contact our Exec Board to get involved.
Spectrum hosts a number of annual programs each year that center around LGBTQ issues and culture. Our most anticipated events are our two annual Drag Shows: the fall Pageant, and the spring Review. We also host demonstrations for the National Coming Out Day, the Day of Silence, Night of Noise, and Trans Day of Remembrance.
