According to an annual survey, Indiana State University’s Class of 2022 is making a strong impact in the state and national workforce. Data indicates a 94% placement rate into jobs, graduate school, or the military.
The First Destination Survey reported that 66% of graduates stayed in Indiana, and the average starting salary for a Sycamore alum is $56,845.
Indiana State University, Union Health, and Indiana University Health were the top employers.
“We are thrilled to report another year of outstanding results from the First Destination Survey. The University-wide commitment that ISU has made to career readiness is resulting in great outcomes for our graduates. Employers recognize the value of an ISU degree,” said Nancy Rogers, Vice President for University Engagement.
Below are more results from each college around campus.
Bayh College of Education: Alums saw a 96% placement rate with an average full-time salary of $54,627. The top two employers for graduates were the Vigo County School Corporation and Indiana State University.
College of Arts and Sciences: A mean full-time salary of $43,887 with a placement rate of 88%. The top employers were Indiana State University, Walmart, and Amazon.
College of Health and Human Services: Graduates are averaging a full-time salary of $63,367 with a 95% placement rate. Top employers included Union Health, IU Health, and the Indiana Department of Child Services.
Bailey College of Engineering and Technology: Graduates saw a 95% placement rate with a mean full-time salary of $63,115. North American Lighting, United States Air Force, and Cummins Inc. are among the top employers for BCET grads.
Scott College of Business: Enterprise Holdings, Amazon, and First Financial Bank were top employers. Alums saw a full-time salary of $55,277 with a placement rate of 96%.
College of Graduate & Professional Studies: Alums saw a mean full-time salary of $67,527 with a 97% placement rate. Indiana State University, IU Health, and Ivy Tech Community College were top employers.
