"The Lady from the Sea" opens Nov. 14

October 29, 2019

Suffocated by obligations to her husband, Ellida is drawn to the sea from which a past love returns, promising freedom and the opportunity to join the sailor who has captivated her for years.

The Lady from the Sea is a story of love and the possibilities of human potential, reminding us that truly powerful relationships are not possessive, even today.

Will Ellida suffocate on dry land, or find freedom across the sea?

Join the department of theater to experience the wonder of Ibsen's classic of modern theater, directed by graduating senior Sami Ginoplos.

The Lady from the Sea will run 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 thru Saturday, Nov. 16 with a final matinee at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17. All performances will be at the New Theater.

Tickets may be purchased at the New Theater Box Office or by calling 812-237-3333 the week of the show. Free Student Rush tickets are available at the Box Office at 6:30 p.m. for evening performances and at 2:30 p.m. for the Sunday matinee. General admission is $10 or $5 with a valid non-ISU student ID.

All performances are expected to be at or near capacity. There is no reserved or late seating.
