Two names in Indiana State University's recent history are synonymous with student affairs: Paul Edgerton, '60, and Bob Elsey.
The pair has provided a combined 70 years of leadership at State, touching generations of Sycamores' lives and shaping the student experience since 1962. The Edgerton and Elsey Celebration will celebrate their contributions July 28-29.
"After hearing resounding feedback from countless friends and alumni of ISU and the Division of Student Affairs, we have decided to celebrate our two distinguished colleagues with a fitting event commemorating their years of service with a new fellowship," said Willie Banks, vice president for student affairs.
The event will consist of a welcome reception Friday evening and campus tours, a panel discussion and a dinner event Saturday.
The celebration event will also kick-off the newly created Edgerton and Elsey Fellowship, which has been created to provide support for State undergraduates who are pursuing careers in the student affairs profession.
"It is our opportunity to thank these two important administrators and colleagues, while celebrating their contributions to the Indiana State community throughout their many years of service," Banks said.
