The Indiana State University Recycle Center is celebrating its fourth award in five years from the State of Indiana and Recyclemania.
The 2015 award is for collecting the most paper, cardboard, bottles and cans among competing colleges and universities in the state.
"The Recycle Center is honored to have received this award for four years and appreciates the participation of each person that assisted us in winning the awards," said Paul Reed, custodial and special services manager.
This marks the third straight year Indiana State has been recognized in that category. Last year's award also recognized the university for overall waste minimization. The university's first award came in 2011 for collecting the most cardboard.
The Recyclemania competiton involves colleges and universities from the United States and Canada. It takes place during an eight-week period each winter. The 2016 Recyclemania period begins Jan. 18.
