Gov. Pence makes appointments to university governing board

Gov. Mike Pence has named two new members to the Indiana State University Board of Trustees and re-appointed two others.

New trustee Kimberly Smith of Indianapolis is chief executive officer of Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. A 1977 Indiana State graduate, Smith has chaired the Indiana State University Foundation Board for the past two years and is a member of the ISU Alumni Association Blue Card Club.

Haley Gravely of Greenwood is the new student trustee. Gravely is a junior majoring in biology and serves as a research assistant with the university's Institute for Community Sustainability.

Re-appointed to new four-year terms on the board were David Campbell and Kathleen Cabello, both of Indianapolis. Campbell, Cabello and Smith will serve until 2019, while Gravely will serve until 2017.
