Come visit the banks of the Wabash or witness the pain of war through the University Art Gallery's newest exhibit, "The Department of Art and Design Faculty Exhibition," open through Oct. 25.
The exhibit offers a great opportunity to see the most recent work of the art and design faculty and includes a diverse range of artwork from photography, drawings, ceramics, video, prints, large lenticular print and graphic design.
Meet the faculty and discuss their work at a reception, 4-6 p.m. Oct. 3.
Artists include Soulaf Abas, SAMy Anderson, Chester Burton, Kira Kalondy, Jason Krueger, Fran Lattanzio, Ginny Payne, Nancy Nichols-Pethick, Sala Wong and Wanda Wilkey.
Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. The University Art Gallery is located in the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts at the corner of Seventh and Chestnut streets.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday. Free group tours are available upon request. For more information, contact Grace Flesher at 812-237-3720.
