Indiana State University's Regali Chamber Winds will perform a variety of works during a performance at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 in the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts Recital Hall.

The concert is being billed as a "Mostly Stravinsky" concert, with just three major works on the program: the Beethoven Rondino, the famous Stravinsky Octet, and his L'Histoire du soldat.

The two Stravinsky works on the program were written within five years of one another, with the Octet (1923) generally considered by many to be the beginning of Stravinsky's neoclassical period; if not by chronological order, certainly with regards to the implementation of neo-classical forms and compositional structure and order.

Regali Chamber Winds, under the direction of Roby George, is comprised of Indiana State faculty and friends who come together once a year specifically for a performance of large chamber wind works. The ensemble is dedicated to the performance of contemporary and classic chamber music.
