Masterworks Chorale searching for vocalists

August 19, 2013

Indiana State University's Masterworks Chorale, a community choir that serves the Wabash Valley, is looking for vocalists who love choral music and are interested in performing.

The 70-75 voice ensemble, which performs major choral works each semester, is comprised of Indiana State students, faculty and staff, as well as community members. This semester the group will perform "Gloria" by Mark Hayes, Mozart's "Regina coeli," and Rutter's "Te Deum," under the direction of conductor Mark Carlisle with the ISU School of Music.

New members, as well as returning members, are invited and welcome to participate. Rehearsals are from 7-9pm. on Mondays in Room 150 of the Landini Center for the Performing Arts at Seventh and Chestnut Streets. Rehearsals will begin on Monday, Aug. 26.

A $30 activity fee will be assessed each semester to cover musical expenses, unless members are registered for ISU credit.

For more information, please contact the ISU School of Music at 812-237-2771, or Carlisle directly at 812-237-2761.
