Dance Kaleidoscope to perform March 24

March 16, 2011

The 2010-11 season of Indiana State University's Performing Arts Series wraps up March 24 with a performance by Dance Kaleidoscope, Indiana's premier professional contemporary dance company.

Since its founding in 1972, Dance Kaleidoscope consistently brings the finest quality dance performances to diverse audiences of all ages, mixed with a strong emphasis on arts education.

Dance Kaleidoscope grew out of an educational program with Young Audiences of Indiana, the local chapter of the national arts organization that supports arts in education. Through its educational programs, the company has performed in hundreds of schools throughout Indiana and the nation. A compelling aspect for Dance Kaleidoscope's education programs is its firm belief that the art of dance is an important tool for children's education.

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Tilson Auditorium. Patrons are invited to a pre-event program, offering waltz lessons, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Heritage Lounge.

Tickets for the performance will be available at the door. Adult tickets are $16. Tickets are $10 for youth ages 2-18. ISU students are admitted free with a valid student ID and are invited to participate in a punch card program. Tickets are available in advance at the Hulman Center Ticket Office, by calling 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com  .
