"Jingle Bell Rock" will usher in the holiday season Dec. 9 with an upbeat contemporary spin on the classic yuletide revue, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Indiana State University's Tilson Auditorium.
The band Santa's Rockin' Helpers accompany a talented cast of seven singers and dancers taking you through more than 32 contemporary and classic Christmas tunes in a holiday show for the whole family.
The program includes holiday classics such as "Sleigh Ride," "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas," along with rockin' versions of "Let It Snow" and "Jingle Bell Rock, recorded by Hoosier Bobby Helms and released two days before Christmas in 1957." You'll also be entertained by hilarious parodies of "It's A Wonderful Life" and Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."
Tickets will be available at the door. Adult tickets are $16. Tickets are $11 for youth ages 2-18. ISU students are admitted free with a valid student ID and are invited to participate in a punch card program. Tickets are available in advance at the Hulman Center Ticket Office or by calling 1-877-ISU-TIXS.
