November 15, 2010

Tickets are now on sale for the 63rd Yuletide Madrigal Feaste presented by the Indiana State University Department of Music.

The event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 9; Friday, Dec. 10 and Saturday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Terre Haute.

ISU Madrigal Dinners are a re-creation of the Renaissance feasts held in the great baronial halls throughout 16th century England during the twelve days of Christmas.

"This event should be a highlight of Terre Haute's holiday activities," said Scott Buchanan, ISU Director of Choral Activities. "An evening of wonderful music with singers period costumes, exquisite food, in a beautiful venue...what more could you ask for to usher in the season of Christmas? Everyone involved in this venture takes great pride in producing an unforgettable evening for our guests, and we look forward to sharing the holiday spirit with them."

Performers each night will include the ISU Sycamore Singers and Brass Quintet. The meal, catered by Boo's Crossroads Café, will include traditional wassail, cranberry Christmas salad, roasted pork loin, breaded stuffing, roasted red potatoes, green beans, rolls and black forest cake. Wine will be available for purchase prior to the festivities.

Tickets are $30 per person and reservations can be made by calling 237-4590 or tickets can be purchased at the music office in the ISU Center for the Performing and Fine Arts.
