"By having the ISU Permanent Art Collection Retrospective Exhibition, the community at Indiana State University, as well as the surrounding communities, has a unique opportunity to view the celebrated artwork in a gallery setting," said Crystal Vicars-Pugh, interim director of the University Art Gallery. "As with every exhibition at the University Art Gallery, this exhibition is a great way to educate, enrich and encourage artistic dialogue with people who come in contact with these amazing works of art."
The University Art Gallery is located on the corner of Seventh and Chestnut streets in the Center for Performing and Fine Arts. Gallery hours are from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursdays.
The University Art Gallery at Indiana State University hosts exhibitions, visiting artists and scholars throughout the academic year. Calendars are available at the gallery's front desk. The gallery's mission to expose cutting edge contemporary art to ISU and Terre Haute would not be possible without the generous support of Arts Illiana, Indiana Arts Commission, College of Arts and Sciences and the department of art.
For further information or to request an interview with faculty artists, please contact Crystal Vicars-Pugh at 812-237-3787, or cvicars@indstate.edu. Images of artwork are available upon request.
