The Indiana State University Music Department's Faculty Gala Recital will be Thursday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Hall Auditorium.
"This is the opening to our recital series," said Nancy Cobb Lippens, chair of the music department. "It is a really good opportunity for the community to be able to see what a really outstanding program we have."
The recital will feature more than 15 performance faculty from the music department. The three faculty ensembles, the wind and brass quintets and the string quartet, will perform in addition to solo vocal and instrumental performances.
Compositions performed will include Mozart's "Clarinet Concerto, K. 622," "Ouvere ton coeur" by Georges Bizet and "Piano Quintet in c minor, op. 1" by Erno Dohnanyi.
"There is something for everybody in this program," Cobb Lippens said.
