The Indiana State University Art Gallery welcomes the beginning of the academic year with ‘Freedom in the Medium: Faculty Exhibition 2010. This annual exhibition featuring recent work of art department faculty is on display now through September 10, with a public reception with the artists on Thursday, Sept. 2 from 5-7pm. All receptions are free and are wheelchair accessible.
‘Freedom in the Medium' is representative of the established talents of ISU art faculty, offering a rich survey of drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and video. The exhibition will feature the works of Alma Mary Anderson, Chester Burton, Ray Chen, Glenn Dunlap, Fran Lattanzio, Nancy Nichols-Pethick, Bradford Venable, Crystal Vicars-Pugh and Sala Wong. The exhibition is a unique opportunity for students and the community to view the quality of workmanship that is not only taught but also executed by art professors at Indiana State.
The University Art Gallery is in the Center for Performing and Fine Arts at 300 N. Seventh St. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays.
