Health professionals will have an opportunity to learn more about service excellence during a free education event that celebrates National Nurses Week.

"Celebrating Nursing: Recipes for Success," offered through Indiana State University's Continuing Nursing Education Program, will take place May 10 at the Landsbaum Center for Health Education in Terre Haute.

The event is designed to inform and educate nurses and nursing staff about the importance of service excellence and how to improve patient and employee satisfaction through focus and performance.

The event features speaker Maureen Gail Mulvaney, author of the bestseller "The Women's Millionaire Club: Success Recipes of Millionaire Women Entrepreneurs." She is also the author of "The Stress Strategist" and "Any Kid Can Be a Super Star," and the co-author of "Chicken Soup for the Teacher's Soul," "Mission Possible," and "Stinky David." In addition to being a nationally known public speaker, Mulvaney has been a private practice therapist, a college instructor of psychology, a public relations executive and an elementary school educator.

Participants may attend one of two sessions. The morning session takes place from 8:20 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session runs from 1 p.m. until 4:10 p.m.
