The 35th annual school law conference will be held April 14 in Dede 1 of the Hulman Memorial Student Union building at Indiana State University. This year's conference will focus on technology, the first amendment and the law.

The school law conference begins at 9:30 a.m. and continues to 3 p.m., with registration and a continental breakfast starting at 9 a.m.

"Every year we try to have a different theme. This year the conference will inform them on the law regarding technology and how it should be used in the schools" said Terry McDaniel, assistant professor of Bayh College of Education.

Breakout session topics will include bullying, Internet security and sexting as well as defining the boundaries of Facebook, MySpace between students and teachers.

"The event targets individuals in leadership positions like school districts and corporations; especially school administrators, principals, superintendents and students who are studying to work in leadership positions," he said.

Registration fee is $50 per person and this includes breakfast, lunch, refreshments, parking and conference materials.
