TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Spicknall Jazz Trio will perform in conjunction with Indiana State University's Faculty/Jazz Artist Series at 3 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Recital Hall of the Center for Performing Arts, located at the corner of Seventh and Chestnut streets.
The group consists of pianist John Spicknall, Eric Schatz, bass and John DiCenso, drums. Since performing in Schatz's master degree recital in 2006, these musicians have annually presented a program at ISU that focuses upon a single jazz performer or composer. For this recital, the trio has developed arrangements of Frank Sinatra related songs including Angel Eyes, Body and Soul, One for My Baby, Polka Dots and Moonbeams, You Make Me Feel So Young and Night and Day.
