H1N1 update

September 9, 2009

Indiana State University reported today that the student who exhibited a probable case of novel H1N1 virus recuperated at home and returned to campus on Tuesday following the Labor Day weekend.

The student’s roommate has exhibited no symptoms and has also returned to the general campus population after being isolated in a residence hall guest room.

The Student Health Center and Student Health Promotions office are continuing aggressive prevention and education efforts. H1N1 symptoms are similar to the symptoms of regular influenza. The university encourages any student who exhibits symptoms to stay home, if a commuter student, or to return to their hometown or family home if they reside in university housing.
