It’s true. At the ISU Alumni Association, we’re for alumni. For over 125 years, we have been inspiring, connecting, and involving alumni in the life of Indiana State.

We have a brand new way for you to stay in touch with the University - the Blue Card Club. The Blue Card club is the official membership program of the Alumni Association.

What is the Blue Card Club?
The Blue Card Club is an exclusive group of Sycamores. By becoming a member of the Alumni Association’s new membership program, you receive special services and benefits such as STATE magazine, special ISU event invitations, discounts at local and national retailers, and much more.

Why should I become a member?
The real question is “why not?” By becoming a member of the Blue Card Club, you will join a network of proud alumni who have been inspired by Indiana State and want to stay connected the University. The Blue Card Club provides access to all of this and more.

Who can become a member of the Blue Card Club?
If you bleed Sycamore blue, this club’s for you! We welcome all alumni and friends to join the Blue Card Club.

How long is my Blue Card Club membership valid?
The Blue Card Club is an annual memberships program. It is based on our fiscal year, running from July 1 through June 30.

How does the membership card work?
Once you join the Blue Card Club, we’ll send you your official membership card, With this card you will be able to start enjoying all Blue Card Club benefits. To receive the benefits and discounts offered by our partners, the presentation of the membership card or a special access code may be required at the time of purchase.

Sounds great, but what is my cost to join?
You can become a Blue Card Club member starting at $40 annually! This is a great deal for anyone who wants to show their ISU pride and save money with local and national retailers.

Do you have a couple’s rate for the Blue Card Club?
Yes, we offer a discount for couples wanting to join together. For an annual contribution of $75, you and your significant other will become Blue Card Club members. Each member will receive a membership card along with all the benefits and perks of the Blue Card Club.

Am I able to purchase a Blue Card Club membership as a gift for a fellow alumni, family, or friend?
Of course! In fact, we encourage it. Blue Card Club memberships make a great gift for the hard to buy for graduate or Sycamore fan.

Basic Alumni Membership

The basic alumni membership is free to anyone who earns 12 credit hours or more from Indiana State. This membership provides access to limited Alumni Association benefits.

Free to all Indiana State University Alumni.

Blue Card Club

From receiving the biannual printed issue of STATE magazine to discounts at the Indiana State University Bookstore, becoming a member of the Blue Card Club is the membership program you want to join this year.

Annual Membership Rates

Blue Card Club memberships are good from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.

  • $40 - Individual Membership
  • $75 - Couple Membership
  • Special introductory offer for 2014 graduates: $20 - Individual Membership

Tent City

The Tent City Policies and Procedures document is now available for the 2015 Homecoming celebration. To reserve your tent during Homecoming, please read the document. You may reserve your tent by printing off the PDF document and mailing it to Amy Roman at the ISU Foundation or by filling out the online form.

Sycamore Tricycle Derby

The Alumni Tricycle Derby Race occurs during special anniversary years with Indiana State University and the Alumni Association. We look forward to the 2015 Alumni Tricycle Race in conjunction with the Sesquicentennial Celebration, honoring the founding of Indiana State in 1865.

More information regarding the 2015 Alumni Tricycle Race will be posted later in the year.

Alumni Tricycle Derby Race

The Alumni Tricycle Derby Race occurs on special celebration years at the Michael Simmons Student Activity Center. The Alumni Association is currently planning future events.

Race Details:

  • Teams will consist of 2-6 Riders for Women; 2-10 Riders for Men
  • Men will complete a total of 10 laps/Women will complete a total of 6 laps
  • Each rider must complete at least one entire lap
  • Each team member must wear the same color of shirt
  • Each rider must wear a protective helmet
  • Pits will be assigned at random prior to the race
  • Race will take place on October 4, 2013 with additional information to follow
  • Riders may have the opportunity to practice early in the afternoon on race day
  • Trikes will be provided on a first come first served basis
  • Race teams should check in by 3:30 p.m.

About Us

The mission of the African-American Alumni Council is to assist the University with the recruitment and retention of African-American students; support the professional and personal development of African-American alumni through networking and mentoring; and promote a stronger sense of community and mutual support.

AAAC Initiatives

  • Provide a platform for presentation of concerns pertaining to education and requests for services benefiting African-American students and alumni.
  • Develop a wider acquaintance and fellowship among members of the AAAC.
  • Develop networking opportunities, both socially and professionally, for Indiana State University African-American alumni.
  • Develop an informational resource which communicates campus minority programming, activities, and scholarship opportunities to be disseminated to all constituents.
  • Promote African-American alumni engagement with prospective and current students; provide ongoing mentorship and internship opportunities.
  • Develop a plan to increase retention of African- American students through designated scholarships, summer programs and alumni connections to internships or other appropriate programs.
  • Promote a positive multicultural atmosphere which reflects and enhances Indiana State University
  • Encourage unity, engagement, and philanthropy among Indiana State University African-American alumni.

Also known as the Grand Society of Sycamores, each year new inductees receive special recognition to show appreciation of their longstanding commitment to and support of the University.
