Master Advising Certificate Program

Master Advising Certificate Program: This program is being created to increase the quality of academic advising for ISU students by providing faculty and professional staff advisors with appropriate training and education.

Learning Objectives:

Initial Certification

Must Attend: Fall Undergraduate Academic Advising Institute or Winter Undergraduate Academic Advising Institute

Must complete 4 academic advising workshops within a year. Examples include:

Recertification (yearly)

Must attend: Fall Undergraduate Academic Advising Institute or Winter Undergraduate Academic Advising Institute and one Advising Matters Workshop

October 4th: Advising Matters: Consortium Agreements, Student (Aviation) Budgets & General Financial Aid Information presented by the College of Technology -  TC 101E 2:00-3:00PM

October 9th: Advising Matters: Understanding the Honors Program  - Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence; 2:00-3:00PM

October 10th: Advising Matters: Interim Grading presented by the College of Arts and Sciences -  Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence; 3:30- 4:30PM
