Supplier Diversity Program


The ISU Purchasing Department has had an ongoing diversity enhancement program in place and active for sixteen years.  The Indiana State University Purchasing Department is committed to providing minority and women owned enterprise (MWBEs) every opportunity to compete for its business. Efforts are continually made to identify minority vendors and solicit quotes from MWBEs.


Indiana State University recognizes the importance of supplier diversity in our procurement practices. Through developing and cultivating sound business relationships, we actively work towards strengthening economic development and viability for disadvantage businesses while providing a value-added strategy that increases competition to ensure that ISU’s funds are maximized.


To have the best-managed supplier diversity initiative, within Higher Education by having a great impact on the economic growth and viability of small, disadvantaged, minority, and woman-owned businesses.


Through our daily activity, we ensure that MWBEs receive fair and equal opportunities to provide goods and services to Indiana State University.
