MyISU Cloud Documentation

Features of the “Secure Cloud Access (SCA) profile.

1. Initial login Screen Note: to see any of the images larger just use the “Ctrl +” to zoom in and then “Ctrl -” to zoom out.

2. To activate your account please follow the link shown above. After being admitted to Indiana State University, you will receive a username, student identification number, and ISU email. As a newly admitted student, you will receive e-mails from faculty, staff, and students to help you enroll at Indiana State University. In order to access those emails, you will have to activate your University Username. By the way, to successfully complete this task, you will need your student identification number (University ID Number), date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number or email address you registered with (International students only).

3. Reset Password without login. Must know security questions to complete. If not login and use Change Pwd badge in the Account menu.

4. Tutorial available on all pages. Just select the (?) in upper right corner.
Also to go back to the home page select your name just under the “Secure Cloud Access”  as shown below as “Sycamore Sam”.

5. New search has been added, and all you need to do is start typing to find the badge - application in question.

6. The image below shows a pop-up explanation of items. You can select the “?” on any page to receive the tutorial overlay.

7. To not show tutorial during every login select the “Don’t show again” as show below.

8. How to change the background and other settings.

9. Now you change settings or lock the current session.

10. To modify settings such as background select “Settings”.

11. Select an image you want for your background and then the gray X to save and close the window.

15. You can also edit items such as “Default Menu”. This is the menu you will see upon login.

You can set your favorite applications to appear upon login. Once you have made modifications to settings, click the “X” in upper right to close “Settings” dialogue.

16. If your session has timed out or you have selected to lock your session you will see the image below.

19. To change security questions, choose the “Change Security Questions” badge from the “Account” menu.

20. Badge –Tile options, move, and move to front, and add to favorites.
Click and hold mouse on the badge you want to work with until option menu appears.

22. To view the applications that have been “Minimized” choose the “Open Application” icon as shown below.

23. How to manage the “Open Application” window.

24. If you choose the Red X in the top right it will close the full window and your session if this is the only window open. For best security it is recommended that you logout and close all browsers if on a public system or are sharing your system with any other person. Also it is best to logout or shut down if possible on all public system that you have logged into, for maximum security.  Always use caution when using public systems when logging into confidential systems like the MyISU Cloud.  For more information on safe computing see the “OIT Security” page
