StateVids

StateVids is a web video delivery tool offered to faculty and staff at Indiana State.  Statevids is designed to be easy to use, similar to YouTube. Videos can be uploaded from anywhere, embedded in web pages and Blackboard courses, streamed to mobile devices, archived, and downloaded for local playback. Statevids can be accessed via Blackboard for use in instruction, or directly for archival or informational delivery at http://statevids.indstate.edu.  StateVids services can be accessed using your University Username and Password. Videos can be protected, given specific group access, made accessible to the University community only, or made completely public.

Closed Captioning (Descriptive Video Service)
While it is not yet required (as of July 2014) to provide Closed Captioning services for “internet only” video, the Office of Information Technology strongly recommends that you take advantage of this technology, as it greatly expands the impact of learning for those with disabilities. StateVids offers the ability to either encode closed captioning or include a text transcript of a video as an accompanying download.
