RSA Token Setup Instructions

SecureRDP RSA Login

  1. Access the system from your Windows system by going to All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection

  1. Computer to connect to is: 139.102.9.60



  2. Click Connect. You will be prompted for a username and password before connecting to the remote machine. Enter your Sycamore Login name and password.



  3. After successful login you are greeted with the ISU legal notice:


    Click OK to accept it.

  4. Next you will see the SecureRDP screen. Click on the RSA SecureID Icon.



  5. Enter your Sycamore Login username and the ‘Passcode’ is the number that appears on the RSA SecureID token that was given to you.



  6. You will now create a PIN code.



    Click Finish after entering your PIN.

  7. Following the instructions on the dialog box that pops up, wait until the number on the RSA SecureID token changes. Enter your PIN + token code in the ‘Next passcode’ box and click OK. For example, if you set your PIN to 556677 and the RSA SecureID token has the number 847393 on it you would enter: 556677847393



  8. Next, click OK to enter your password.



  9. Enter your Sycamores password:



    You should now be logged into the SecureRDP machine.

  10. Select the ‘Banner Forms’ shortcut on the desktop



  11. You can select the checkbox for ‘do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above’. Click the ‘run’ and ‘enable’ buttons as indicated below.



  12. You are now ready to sign in to Banner like normal.



  13. Make sure to log off from your remote desktop connection when closing the program.
