APPIAN to represent legislative priorities

November 28, 2018

Indiana State University has announced the hiring of APPIAN to represent the University's priorities during the 2019 legislative session of the Indiana General Assembly.

APPIAN is led by Indiana State University alumnus Dennis Faulkenberg, formerly Deputy Commissioner and Chief Financial Officer of the Indiana Department of Transportation. Faulkenberg and his colleague, Laurie Maudlin, have successfully led efforts at the State House for increased funding for high priority transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the state of Indiana.

"Their combined years of service in government and advocacy as well as Dennis' connection to Indiana State University position APPIAN as uniquely qualified to represent us at the State House over the next six months," said Deborah J. Curtis, president of Indiana State. "I look forward to working with them in advancing our legislative priorities."

Greg Goode, Indiana State's Executive Director of Government Relations, announced last month that he was leaving the university to become president and chief executive officer of the Historic Trust, a nonprofit organization based in Vancouver, Wash.
