Community School of the Arts Classes For Youth July 5-8

There are a few spaces left in the following summer camps during the week of July 5-8:

Sing and Dance!
Ages: 7-11
Dates & Time: July 5-8 (Tuesday through Friday)
3-4:30 p.m.
Final Performance: July 8, 4 p.m., Landini Center for the Performing and Fine Arts, Recital Hall

Have fun singing and dancing to your favorite popular songs! This camp focuses on basic vocal skills, choreography and performing, along with fun musical games. Everyone gets the chance to be a star! Students participate in a performance on the last day of class.

Nature Drawing and Still-Life Studies
Ages: 7-12
Dates & Time: July 5-8 (Tuesday through Friday)
2-4 p.m.
Final Exhibition: July 18-22, with an opening reception on Wednesday, July 20, 4:30-6 p.m., in the Bare-Montgomery Art Gallery, Fairbanks Hall, 220 N. 7th St..

This class allows students to sketch and draw out-of-doors on the beautiful ISU campus, using nature as subject matter. Students will draw from life at locations including the butterfly garden and the koi fishpond. One or two classes will be spent inside drawing still-lifes, enabling students to fine-tune and develop skills. Students will work with a variety of materials including pencil, colored pencil and charcoal. Materials are provided.
