John Spicknall Jazz Trio to perform as part of Faculty Artist Series

The Indiana State University School of Music will present the John Spicknall Jazz Trio as part of the Faculty Artist Series Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. in the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts, Recital Hall.

The trio members are pianist John Spicknall, bassist Todd Gallagher and drummer John DiCenso. The group has been performing together since the fall of 2005.

Works to be performed on the concert include well know piece "How Deep Is the Ocean" by Irving Berlin as the opener, "J.B. Blues" by Duke Ellington, "So In Love" by Cole Porter, "When Lights Are Low" by Benny Carter and others. The event will close with a work composed by Spicknall entitled, "This Sense of Time."
