TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The 19th annual Indiana State University Band-O-Rama concert will be at 4 p.m. Nov. 22 in Tilson Auditorium.
Featured on the program will be the Concert Band, under the direction of Dennis Ballard, and the Marching Sycamores, directed by Doug Keiser with the assistance of graduate conductors Trena Raneigh Prall and Lisa Wallyn and drum majors Trevor Hedrick, Jenney Hanchett and Rejeana Overmyer. Flags and Sparkettes are under the direction of Tamara Schaffer.
The Concert Band will take the stage first to perform several selections including James Barnes' "Westridge Overture," "Fantasy on an Irish Air," by David Gorham; Samuel R. Hazo's "As Winds Dance," "Reverberations" by Brian Balmages and Karl King's "Bonds of Unity."
Senior music students Sutton Doty, Rosedale; April Mehringer, Huntingburg; Jay Lowry, Highland; and Justin Etmeier, Sandborn; will serve as student conductors.
The Marching Sycamores will perform traditional selections such as "March On," "Wabash Cannonball," "Alma Mater," and "Cheer for the Blue and White" in addition to selections such as "Don't Stop Believin','" "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," "I Just Want to Celebrate" and selections from the "Mask of Zorro."
Admission is free and open to the public. The ISU chapter of the Kappa Kappa Psi band fraternity will provide a reception following the concert.
