A gallery reception will be that evening from 5-7 p.m.
From the media used in the work to the scale on which each artist approaches their subject and material, the show will present a wide variety of approaches that speak favorably to the continuity of the practice of drawing as an important art form. Materials and techniques used by artists in drawing continue to evolve, and the show will offer evidence of that as well as an array of imagery by artists from throughout the United States. The visiting scholar's lecture for this exhibit will address the way in which drawing occupies the realm of conceptual art.
