Robert Williams, dean of Indiana State University's College of Education, is retiring June 30, and as a result, the college has initiated a national search for his successor.
Aided by a Washington, D.C. firm, the campus committee has been formed and the search is underway. Josh Powers, assistant professor of educational leadership, administration and foundations is serving as chairperson of the campus committee.
A series of stakeholder information and visioning sessions took place in December. These sessions helped the College of Education to fine-tune an executive profile for the position, which is available at:
Applications for the position will begin to be reviewed in early February, and finalist candidates will be on campus for two-day interviews sometime in March. A final announcement on a new dean is expected mid- to late-April.
