The dance, from 7-9 p.m., is free for all members of Happiness Bag, which is located at 3833 Union Road. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes.
Andy Knueven, a senior elementary and special education major from Brownsburg and president of the council, said the dance is a way for ISU students to give back to the community.
"It's a way to interact and get out and help the community in Terre Haute," he said. "It gives students time to work with people with disabilities and they can draw upon those experiences when they have classrooms of their own."
Crafts, a photo booth and a popcorn machine also will be part of the festivities for the dance.
