Terre Haute, Ind. - The Indiana State University Department of Art celebrates the beginning of the academic year with "Meet Your Maker: Faculty Exhibition 2008." This annual exhibition, featuring recent works from current faculty, will be on display from Aug. 20-Sept. 5.

"Meet Your Maker" represents the established talents of the ISU Department of Art, offering a rich survey of drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and video. The exhibit features the works of Alma Mary Anderson, Chester Burton, Ray Chen, Glenn Dunlap, Fran Lattanzio, Nancy Nichols-Pethick, Melissa Vandenberg, Bradford Venable, Wanda Wilkey and Sala Wong. The exhibition is a unique opportunity for students and the community to meet the makers at ISU by getting acquainted with their art.

A public reception to honor the artists will be given on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 5-7 p.m. The reception catering is sponsored by M. Mogger's Restaurant & Pub.

The University Art Gallery is located in the Center for Performing and Fine Arts at the corner of Seventh and Chestnut Streets. The University Art Gallery hosts exhibitions, visiting artists, and scholars throughout the academic year.
