Campus Veterans Day observance set for today (Monday)

On Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, campus and community volunteers at Indiana State and more than 180 other colleges and universities across the nation will read the names of fallen soldiers of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OEF). Each campus participating in National Roll Call will organize its own reading of names and will observe at 2 p.m. Eastern Time in a simultaneous nationwide minute of silence. Indiana State University will begin its Veterans Day events at 11 a.m. with a wreath laying ceremony in the Heritage Ballroom in Tirey Hall, with a reception to follow in Heritage Lounge. At 12 noon, and continuing on the hour every hour until 4 p.m., will be the reading of the names of Indiana fallen soldiers.
