Indiana State mourns the loss of the Trike co-founder

The Indiana State University community is mourning the loss of alumnus Michael Simmons, '64, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 7 in Florida. He co-founded the Sycamore Tricycle Derby in October 1963 as a way to keep students on campus.  Full Story >>

  • ‘What Would You Do?’ is focus of 12th annual Ethics Conference

    Students can register for the Ethics Conference at indstate.edu/ethics. Those who pre-register by Feb. 24 and confirm their attendance to the keynote luncheon, will receive a free lunch. The first 200 students to register will get a free T-shirt.

  • Smithsonian scientist to speak on Feb. 17

    Richard Potts, head of the Smithsonian Institution’s Human Origins Program, will discuss paleoanthropology and environmental effects on human evolution during the first Wittman Speaker Series talk at 4 p.m. in Science Building, room 012 at Indiana State.

  • Sycamores to bring French play to stage Feb. 22-26

    The comedy, which raises questions about art and friendship among long-time friends, will be performed 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22-Feb. 25 and 4 p.m. Feb. 26 in Dreiser Theater.
