Health Services



The Health Services Program is open to eligible in-state and many out-of-state applicants. The program is closed to all students residing abroad (including international students) except for U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses. The program is designed for transfer students.

Admission—Minimum Requirements

To be admitted to the online learning program in health services, the applicant must be admitted to the University as a degree-seeking student and satisfy the following:

  • Completion of an associate of applied science (A.A.S.) from a regionally accredited institution in a health-related program, including but not limited to: dental hygiene, health care support, health information technology, medical assisting, medical laboratory technology, neurodiagnostics, surgical technology therapeutic massage, paramedic science, and radiology.
  • A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (C average) in all college-level studies

Note:  In some cases, individuals who have earned an A.A.S. in non-health related programs may be eligible for admission to the Health Services Program if they are currently working in a health services profession. For further information, please contact Indiana State Online at (812) 237-2345 or

Indiana State Online Students Residing Outside of Indiana: Each of the states has its own approval processes for out-of-state institutions offering online degrees. While Indiana State University endeavors to offer all of its programs to as wide an audience as possible, all ISU online programs may not be available in all states. Currently, online programs are not offered in the state of Massachusetts. To check the status of programs available in a particular state, visit program availability.
