Michael Rodriguez, Ph.D.

Dr. Rodriguez has an M.Phil. in Anglo-Irish Literature from Trinity College Dublin, an M.T.S. in Comparative Religion from Harvard, and a Ph.D. in English Literature from Florida State University.  His research interests include Samuel Beckett, the creative imagination, psychoanalysis and literature, and comparative mystical theology.  He has published on the work of Beckett and has given talks at conferences on a variety of interdisciplinary subjects.

 Over the past several years, Dr. Rodriguez has taught in the CAS Writing Program at Boston University.  His seminar topics have included Heroes, Saints, and Martyrs; Modern Literature and Society; Modern Drama; Modern Fiction and Poetry; Irish Literature; and The Colbert Report: American Satire.

 His teaching was featured on NPR's All Things Considered, and he has served as a recurring roundtable participant on NPR's The Callie Crossley Show, on which he contributed to discussions about various topics including the intersection of academia and pop culture.
